In front of you will lie a magnificent
wooden chalet peacefully asleep on an
island bed of greenery. All around the
island the pastel colored water will glitter
in the moonlight and reflect the glow
of the wooden surroundings...
You'll walk down several
steps which will be lined with candles
before reaching the edge of the lake.
A motorboat accompanied by her captain
will be awaiting you. Hand in hand, you'll
cozily sit down on one of the benches
before setting off on a poetic crossing
of the lake. You'll be immediately transported
to another world.
Little by little you'll
be cut off from the rest of the universe
and only the birds will dare to caress
the realm of your thoughts with their
melodious songs. Several ducks and their
ducklings may even glide across the water
leaving a gentle wake...
You'll soon near the
stunning Bernese chalet which was brought
from Switzerland in 1880 by Napoleon III
and rebuilt in this Parisian forest as
a gift for his beloved Empress Eugenie
who had fallen under its charm during
one of her travels.
This paradise - the fruit
of a truly great romance, will now be
yours. You'll excitedly approach it under
the soft glow of the candles which line
the edge of the lake... Welcome to the
land of sweet tenderness !
You'll be welcomed by
a hostess who'll show you to the restaurant.
In a warm and cozy atmosphere, you'll
discover your truly elegant table. You'll
be spellbound in the sweet mellow light,
by the room's warmly glimmering decorations
which are en par with the lavish ornaments
in the Château de Versailles.
The panoramic view of
the lake and the forest will provide you
with a festival of beautifully soft colors...
You'll be offered a
sumptuous champagne and rose petal-based
love potion to begin your poetic dinner
by candlelight. Your taste buds will then
be tickled by the fresh and flavorsome
cuisine which will be created using seasonal
aromas. For starters you'll choose from
duck foie gras terrine accompanied by
sangria jelly, smoked duck's breast with
melon, and a plate of smoked salmon with
home-made blini.
